The Vision and Purpose of the GNMS
The GNMS exists for the purpose of global-level collaborative partnership between
evangelical mission sending organizations to reach all peoples with the Gospel. The spirit,
mission and scope of this cooperation is guided by the principles set forth in the
Tokyo 2010 Declaration. Within the context of this mandate to “make disciples of every people
in our generation,” the GNMS strives to 1.) Assist in the
development of mission sending structures, with a priority given to non-Western church
networks 2.) Jointly research and promote what remains to
be done in reaching every “nation, tribe, people and language”, 3.) Cooperatively address existing
gaps in required mission infrastructure, especially as it may relate to the
effective deployment of missionary personnel in frontier regions, 4.) Champion the biblical role of mission agencies within the Body of Christ.
